Tantaline treated thermowells are the most corrosion resistant thermowells commercially available. Unlike a tantalum jacket, Tantaline grows an inseparable tantalum surface alloy into the stainless steel thermowell. The result is the Tantaline treated thermowells have a corrosion resistance equal to that of solid tantalum thermowells and are ideally suited for highly corrosive media like hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and phosphoric acid applications. Available on any design, tapered, threaded, flanged, Van Stone or sanitary, Tantaline treated thermowells offer the best acid resistance possible at prices that also beat Hastelloy, titanium, zirconium and solid tantalum thermowells.
